A practice built around contested install credit

Channel Map Point started when growth teams in the Klang Valley kept asking the same question after every media review: which channel actually earned the users who stayed?

Why we exist

App campaigns in Malaysia and nearby markets often run across Google, Meta, Apple Search Ads, and a rotating set of affiliates. Each partner reports success differently. Mobile measurement partners add another layer. Without a deliberate reading of those layers, budget meetings become contests of screenshots.

We formed Channel Map Point to sit between those reports — not to sell a replacement stack, but to interpret what the numbers already say and where they disagree.

How we approach the work

We begin with the decision waiting on clearer attribution. Then we gather the exports and interviews that surround that decision. We prefer plain channel maps over dense methodology essays. Clients keep the documents; we do not lock findings behind a login.

People

Amira Hassan leads most audits. She spent years inside performance teams before advising, which shows in how she pressures network claims against early retention rather than accepting first-touch stories at face value.

Wei Jun Tan facilitates workshops and retainer office hours. He is the person who translates MMP jargon into questions media buyers can answer in the room.

Values that show up in the work

  • Credit claims must survive contact with retention, not only with install volume.
  • Documentation should outlast the engagement.
  • We decline work that asks us to rubber-stamp a predetermined winner.

Location

Our office is in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Most engagements run remotely with Malaysia business hours; Klang Valley clients may schedule in-person readouts when it helps the room align.

Talk through a pending budget decision

If channel credit is the bottleneck, send a short note. We will say quickly whether an audit, workshop, or plan review is the better fit.
